Every factory has a mountain.
Demand charges are the tax on its peak.
Drag the green line to shave your peak — and watch your demand charges melt into savings.
1 Your electricity use
Set your current peak demand, then choose the lower peak you want the battery to achieve.

Adjust the sliders, then show estimated savings.
Final sizing needs engineering review. Lights show the concept, not live equipment status.

2 The battery behind the savings
Green is energy you can actually use. The hatched part is what physics takes back (DoD × efficiency) — that's why you buy more than you use.

Catalog Preliminary Sizing · Match both power and nominal capacity. Final sizing requires Engineering Validation.
Engineering validation and planning assumptions
Check operating mode, usable energy, continuous power, site derating, protection and controls. The 20% backup reserve is a planning assumption, not outage sizing. Multi-unit configurations must stay within confirmed parallel limits.
Size on kWh alone and you'll buy a big battery with a small inverter that can't deliver the kW your peak actually needs. The kW check above is what makes the shave work at the meter.

Preliminary Project Summary
Project details will appear here.
Preliminary system
Estimated nominal battery capacity
≈— kWh
Required AC energy — kWh · PCS continuous requirement ≥— kW
PCS is based on running load only. Motor starting, overload and site-specific derating require engineering review.
No backup-capacity estimate is available for the current inputs. The project context can still be shared for review.
Planning estimate only. It is not a product selection or a completed engineering design.

Planning assumptions
These are general planning assumptions, not TAICO product specifications. The usable-capacity factor is applied in addition to DoD and discharge efficiency; engineering must confirm its basis and check for overlap before final sizing.
Selected configuration
To be confirmed by engineering
- Motor starting current and PCS overload capability
- Generator integration and operating sequence
- PV charging strategy, protection, and controls
- Final battery cabinet configuration and product selection

About this estimate
A starting point for your project
- Why ask for critical load?
- Daily site energy describes total use over a day. Backup energy depends on which loads must stay on and for how long.
- How is battery capacity estimated?
- The tool multiplies critical load by backup hours, then adjusts for the stated planning assumptions. Grid, generator, PV, and daily energy provide context only.
- What happens next?
- A TAICO specialist can review the load profile, starting currents, grid conditions, PV, and generator details before recommending a system configuration.
